Policies
Simple plan. Simple policies.
We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, sell personal information, or build marketing profiles. Here is the longer version of what we do — and what we do not do.
Effective: August 1, 2026
01
Cookies policy
We do not use advertising, analytics, social-media, or cross-site tracking cookies. Ordinary browsing of the static public pages does not require a cookie.
Some interactive features do require a strictly necessary, first-party session cookie named dbsp_session. The public Contact page uses it for form security, one-time human verification, and short-lived form messages. The private administration area also uses it to keep an authorized administrator or editor signed in.
The session cookie is configured to last only for the browser session, is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict, and is not used to follow you across other websites or to build an advertising profile. Blocking it may prevent the Contact form or administration area from working correctly.
Because we do not use non-essential tracking or advertising cookies, the site does not display a marketing-cookie consent banner.
02
Privacy policy
We do not use analytics services, advertising pixels, cross-site trackers, or visitor profiling. We do not sell, rent, trade, or broker personal information.
If you choose to use the Contact form, you provide your name, email address, topic, message, and an optional testimonial-publication choice. The website validates the submission and sends it by email to the site administrator. The application does not maintain a separate database of public Contact messages. Copies may remain in normal email systems, backups, or mail-server records as part of ordinary email delivery and administration.
For spam and abuse prevention, the site temporarily stores timestamps associated with a one-way, secret-keyed hash of the connecting IP address. The raw IP address is not written to that application rate-limit file, and old entries are automatically aged out. The webhost or other network providers may separately maintain ordinary access, security, or delivery logs as part of operating their systems.
We use information you send only to receive and respond to your message, operate and protect the website, and — when you expressly give permission — publish testimonial material as described below.
If you have a privacy question about information you submitted, use the Contact page.
03
Email & testimonial policy
We do not sell, rent, trade, or give your email address to marketers. We do not add Contact-form addresses to a mailing list, newsletter, or advertising system.
When you send us a message, we may use the email address you supplied to respond to that message or to follow up on the subject you contacted us about. Normal delivery necessarily passes the message through the configured email provider and other mail systems involved in delivery; that operational processing is not a sale or marketing disclosure by us.
Testimonials are published only with permission. The Contact form includes an optional checkbox authorizing publication of the submitted message as a testimonial. Leaving it unchecked means we will not publish that submission as a testimonial. Granting permission does not guarantee publication.
If a permitted testimonial is published, we may make modest edits for spelling, punctuation, length, or clarity without intentionally changing its meaning, and we may reduce identifying detail for privacy. If you later want a testimonial removed, contact us and identify the testimonial so we can address the request.

General website terms
Acceptance and purpose
By using this website, you agree to these terms. Dollar Bill Savings Plan provides general educational information about a simple savings habit. It is not a bank, financial institution, investment service, or personalized professional-advice service. The separate Disclaimer is part of these terms and should be read with them.
Your use of the site
You may read, link to, and share the ideas described here for lawful personal and noncommercial purposes. You may not attempt to damage the site, bypass access controls, interfere with its operation, misuse its forms, introduce malicious code, or obtain unauthorized access to private administration functions or data.
Site content and artwork
Unless otherwise indicated, the site's original writing, layout, graphics, Dollar Bill mascot artwork, and other original materials are protected content. Describing or discussing the savings method is welcome; copying or republishing substantial portions of the website or its artwork as your own is not.
Submissions and testimonials
You remain responsible for material you submit. Do not send content you do not have the right to send. If you expressly authorize a Contact-form submission for testimonial publication, you give Dollar Bill Savings Plan a nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to reproduce and display that testimonial on this website and related materials, subject to the testimonial practices described in the Email & testimonial policy above.
No warranties
The website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We try to keep the site useful and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, complete, current, or suitable for your particular situation. Savings results vary. Use the site and the plan at your own judgment and risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dollar Bill Savings Plan and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on this website or the savings method described here.
Links and third-party services
If the site links to a third-party website or service, that does not make us responsible for its content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Third-party services operate under their own terms and policies.
Changes to the site or these terms
We may update, correct, suspend, or discontinue site content or features and may revise these policies when needed. Material policy revisions will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
Governing law
These terms and your use of this website are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Severability
If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
